Van Gogh favorite jumpingstallion dressagehorse breeder Rutten26 october 2014Bert Rutten trained a large number of horses to the Grand Prix dressage.
He buys a number of talented foals each year, but besides of that Bert
also breeds enthusiastic and has a clear vision on breeding as a KWPN breeding
councilor. Rutten: the breeding goal to breed better horses must be clear for everyone:
breeding a horse that can handle the job at the highest level in a natural
and easy way.
Rutten uses blood that brings his breeding a step forward, so in almost
all of his current horses jumping blood will be found. Rutten mentions:
I do not use just any stallion, but look for ones with performance blood.
Van Gogh currently is my favourite jumpingstallion. Breeding dressage horses is still in its infancy. Decades before specialization
stallions were selected to their jumping and especially athletic ability.
In addition, you can not teach a horse to jump over 1.60m, he just can
or not.
The environmental factor in dressage is much bigger than in jumping; convenient
riders have no problems learning the horses most tricks. Click for the whole (dutch) article
