Stallion show De Wiemselbach on Sunday 10 April

26 march 2022

Now that everything is allowed again, the Horn family is happy to pick up the tradition: the annual De Wiemselbach stallion show is scheduled for Sunday 10 April. From 2 p.m., both their renowned sires and high-profile new talents will be presented in Oud Ootmarsum. Because the first offspring of stallions such as Corlou and Lord of Farming are also on display, all ingredients are present for an interesting afternoon.

The Twente stallion farm and sports stable has proven its worth thanks to top progenitors such as Numero Uno (by Libero H), Van Gogh (by Numero Uno) and Ustinov (by Libero H). These distinguished showjumping horse suppliers are shown to the public during the stallion show and are joined by various offspring and other high-profile talents from the Horn family. Stamp stallion Numero Uno is still fresh available for breeding at the age of 26.

Top talents
Under Caroline Müller, several young stallions from De Wiemselbach stand out very positively in the sport. For example, the Balou du Rouet son Lord of Farming made a big impression in the young horse competitions and the also very promising Corlou (by Cornet Obolensky) started this year energetically with only clear rounds in the international Youngster Tour. Foals from their first crop of foals from both top talents will be shown at the stallion show. The Don Diarado son Donthargos is also making good progress in sport and breeding, and foals are also expected from him on Sunday 10 April. The newest addition to De Wiemselbach, the three-year-old Chacoon Blue son Chatendro, will of course also make an appearance during the stallion presentation. In addition, it will be a reunion with, among others, the Connor son Connect, who makes a strong impression with his offspring, and the successful Cornet Obolensky son Kensington ES.

Best bloodlines
All in all, De Wiemselbach has a valuable stallion base in which the best European bloodlines are anchored. The stallions and their offspring are expertly explained during the show, so that the breeders will be even better able to choose the right partner for their mare(s). All this, together with Twentse conviviality and hospitality, makes for an afternoon not to be missed. Sunday 10 April, from 2 p.m., De Mors 69 in Oud Ootmarsum.
