Wiemselbach - page 3

Dear breeders,
We are proud to present to you the new stallion catalogue of De Wiemselbach 2014.
Another year, in which we can proudly reflect and look upon the performances of the
descendants of our stallions. After the successes achieved in the Olympic games in
London, over the last year Numero Uno again has emphasized his status being a world
class stallion and horse producer. For example the historical victory in the Nations
Cup in La Baule, having sired 3 out of 4 horses of the winning Dutch team. Also the
victory of the Dutch team at the CHIO Aachen was due to a successful performance of
two Numero Uno sons. The Gold medal at the European young riders championships
(Winchester, Frank Schuttert) and the silver and bronze medals at the senior category
of the Dutch showjumping championships (Tyson, Leon Thijssen und Tobalio, Albert
Voorn) were some other 2013 highlights in the astonishing breeding carreer of Numero
Uno. All these results have contributed to the fact that he is currently in 9th place in the
world wide ranking of jumping sires.
Van Gogh had some very good results in international Grand Prix, ridden by top rider
Caroline Müller. The couple finished 2nd in the championship of Paderborn, 2nd in the
Grand Prix at Rosendaal and 4th in the Grand Prix at Zandhoven. In addition Van Gogh
achieved good placings at the Grand Prix’s at Ommen, Verden and Geesteren. At the
Dutch young horses championships, the entire podium of the 6 year olds was filled with
descendants of De Wiemselbach stallions: in 1st place Cidante (s. Lupicor, Jack An-
sems), 2nd place Calimera (s. Van Gogh, Marcel Willems) and in 3rd Romeo (s. Numero
Uno, Wendy Veldman). Finally the very talented Van Gogh Daughter Calimera did also
win the silver medal at the world championships at Lanaken, ridden by Marcel Willems.
Due to the successful performances of their offspring in international showjumping
competitions, our stallions Ustinov and Van Gogh have created positive awareness of
their outstanding breeding qualities. The recently published 2014 KWPN jumping
indexes, in which Ustinov and Van Gogh are ranked among the very best, under-
lines this. Successes that could not have been made possible without those
breeders that have used these stallions already at young age. Merited solely to
the tireless efforts of our top rider Caroline Müller, all our stallions continue
to improve and advance. Upgrade, Ustinov, L’Esprit, Chellthago, Van Gogh
and Whitaker have been successful at international shows and will continue
to compete at the international level, jumping Grand Prix in 2014.
Also outside of the Netherlands the success of our stallions has not been
unnoticed. At several stallion approvals in Germany and Belgium, sons of
Numero Uno, Ustinov, Van Gogh, Solitair and Whitaker have been approved for
breeding. In order to help counteract the effects of the current economic climate,
we will be increasing our competition dates in 2014, in order to enhance the pro-
file of our stallions on the international stage. This in turn will create more awareness
for their offspring which will increase the market value for breeders.
By offering you these carefully selected stallions that are bred out of the best European
bloodlines, we hope to welcome you as our customer for this year’s breeding season.
We look forward to speaking with you with regards to the choice of stallions for your
mares, and to assist you with your breeding program.
Kindest regards,
Family H.W. Horn
