Winchester HS ( Numero Uno) proves form in Grand Prix of Rome27 may 2014Frank Schuttert and his Numero Uno
son Winchester HS were able to perform good again. The combination finished
third in 42.26 seconds, just after Michael Whitaker (2nd place) with Viking
and Eric Lamaze (1st place) with P Zigali. Last Thursday Schuttert only rode the 1.50 m test and than waited the
rest of the weekend quietly until the Grand Prix to make his move. "At the start of the jump off, Winchester was bucking a bit, which took
me time. Actually Winchester is a very fast horse. I am really happy. I
wanted to prove Winchester is in topform, so hopefully they let me ride
more nice competitions, " Schuttert said after his ride. Immediatly after the first round the Italian public clasped Schuttert
with his characteristic Winchester in their heart and after the winninground
they cheered as if the duo had already won the Grand Prix. Eric Lamaze
and Michael Whitaker were a fraction faster, thanks to the efficient jumping
and flatter gallop of their horses. Back
